Q What item is the only thing you never go fishing without? My camera because I am just as happy to come home with some great images as I am with the fish.
Q What is the best item you ever bought? My first fishing rod as it started my love for this awesome sport.

Q What is on your bucket list of destinations for fishing and fish? Giant Tarpon in Costa Rica or Panama, Black Bass in Papua New Guniea, Tiger fish in Africa. There are so many and so little time!!!
Q Favourite Line? A taut one.
Q What's your favourite way to cook fish? Wrapped in alfoil with a few green prawns, some butter, a squeeze of lime juice, seasoning then baked in the coals of a camp fire.
Q What is your best fishing experience? I like camping and fishing so any time I can combine the two. Stradbroke and Moreton Islands are my favourites.
Q What is the oldest item in your tackle box? A 600A5 Alvey surf reel that I bought from The Tackle Warehouse 15 years ago.
Q What is the secret about fishing for Mackerel? Get up early.
Q What is on your bucket list of destinations for fishing and fish? Broome and Exmouth in Western Australia.
Q What is your favourite way to cook fish? Crumbed, or whole on the BBQ, or sashimi or in the smoker…. Depends on the fish!
Q What do you like to fish for ? I'm not fussy with what I target. Anything that swims with fins.
Q What item is the only thing you never go fishing without? Buff Headwear – I hate getting burnt, but hate sunscreen.
Q What is the best item you ever bought? My son's combo. So that I can share my childhood fun with him.
Q What is on your bucket list of destinations for fishing and fish? First on the list is Florida for the legendary Massive Tarpon.
Q What is your favourite way to cook fish? I don’t mind!
QWhat is your best fishing experience and why? My 132cm Barramundi caught at Awoonga Dam whilst casting in heavy timber. Unlucky Barra.
QWhat is the oldest item in your tackle box? A 20 year old hand crafted wooden lure. There is something special about the action of a wooden lure.
QWhat is the most challenging landing you have every done? Fighting and gaffing big Jewfish off the rocks at night.
QWhat is the secret about fishing for Jewfish? Jewfish demand a lot of patience and preparation. Quality bait - fresh or live is the key. Keep noise to a minimum.
QWhat is on your bucket list of destinations for fishing and fish? Papua New Guinea to fish for the mighty Black Bass.
QWhat is your favourite way to cook fish? Whatever my wife does!
QWhat is your best fishing experience? Fishing the Solomon Islands for three weeks. We were catching Marlin, Wahoo and Mackerel 100m off shore.
QWhat is the oldest item in your tackle box? A limited edition (late 70’s / early 80’s) Gold Daiwa Millionaire 6HM fishing reel. I love collecting old fishing reels.
QWhat is the most challenging landing you have ever done? Catching Mangrove Jack on 4kg line in the Solomon Islands.
QWhat is the biggest myth you have ever heard about fishing? You can only catch Tailor in winter.
QWhat is your favourite way to cook fish? Either shallow fried with Panko breadcrumbs or grilled.
Q What is your favourite style of fishing? Any topwater fishing with stickbaits and poppers.
Q Most memorable fishing trip? Sight casting a Sailfish on a stickbait off Fraser Island.
Q What fish do you target the most? Giant Trevally, but I enjoy chasing all Pelagics.
Q What is the best fishing location you have been to? Mackay. Lots of big Pelagics to chase!
Q What is your favourite fish to eat? Coral trout.
Q What is your best tackle purchase? Daiwa Saltiga PE5 combo. This combo has landed me my biggest GT (40kg), Spanish Mackerel (25kg) and my only Sailfish.
Q What is your best fishing experience and why? Landbased fishing for Threadfin Salmon on the Brisbane River, the battle around heavy structure and then the challenge of landing the fish too.
Q What is the oldest item in your tackle box? A 1995 model Shimano Stella 3000, in surprisingly good condition. I caught it in a dam while fishing for Bass.
QWhat is on your bucket list of destinations for fishing and fish? I’d love to go to the NT to fish for Barramundi.
Q What is your favourite way to cook fish Can’t beat shallow fried in panko crumbs.
